Manufacturer Info

AEM was established in 1987 and quickly earned a reputation for its custom fabrication work and ability to develop the fastest vehicles at racetracks across the country. As the import performance market began to grow, AEM’s success in both of these areas ultimately led to the production of products for the performance sport compact car market-long before it was the popular thing to do.

Today, AEM is dedicated to the research and development, design and manufacturing of the highest-quality performance products for the sport compact car, large car, truck and SUV market. AEM expanded in 2003, and moved its manufacturing, racing program and dyno facility to a new location to make room for additional warehousing and shipping in its main headquarters. This new addition enabled AEM to intensify its manufacturing capabilities, and has increased the company’s facilities to approximately 90,000 square feet.

All of AEM’s products are CAD designed and undergo extensive testing for performance and reliability. Although AEM has advanced beyond its tuner shop roots, she maintains a visible presence at racetracks across the country through AEM Racing Inc., and engineering and sponsorship commitments with some of the country’s best racing teams. This assures that AEM’s products are not only proven through dyno testing, but real world testing as well.

AEM’s products are consistently put to the test by various automotive publications including Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Turbo, Sport Compact Car, Super Street, Honda Tuning, Euro Tuner, 5.0 Mustangs, Truckin’, 4Wheel Drive & Sport Utility, and Sport Truck magazines. In the end, the results of these independent tests are always the same-our products consistently outperform the competition.

AEM V2 Intake
Posted on 06/18/2008 by Eric R. - 2003 Honda Civic (Kings Bay,GA)
“I recently bought the V2 Intake for my 2003 Honda Civic EX CP. It sounds a lot better now, when accelerating at high RPMS I can feel more horsepower than before. The factory box filter intake is in the garbage now. It wasn’t that hard to install it, it took about a little over an hour but it looks great and runs nice. There is a more of a roaring sound now.”
Holy… well you know what comes next

“this thing is ridiculous, it sounds like I dropped a 2L in my little civic. Installation was a little interesting though, i didn’t have to jack it up or remove the wheel like the instructions said… but the removal of the engine brace was hard w/o an impact wrench. And at least in my case one of the nipples wasn’t used… so i just covered it up w/ some tape. Overall a sweet product, and would definitely recommend”

AEM V2 intake on 2005 accord V6 auto
Posted on 05/20/2008 by Shannon P. - 2005 Honda Accord (Brookhaven,MS)
“I’ve been looking awhile at the best bang for my buck on a easy bolt on for my car. I read a dyno review on the V2 saying the two pipe system really showed true HP and torque gains and not just some product to make your car sound tough. I was not brave enough to install it myself but I did have my local Honda dealer put it on (charged me $150) but I know it was done right. I have a SWEET sound under the hood now and there is definite gains in 0-60 and the engine pulls better at 5000 to 6200rpm range in each gear. My time 0-60 dropped about 0.7sec to around 7.0- 7.15 on 93 octane. Great product.”
